After reading the message from Bryan Mullins on the SIU Salukis .com, I feel that we should be the ones to thank him. Thank you for bringing hope back to the Saluki faithful. Thank for bringing pride back to the Maroon and White basketball program. Thank you for teaching the values of hard work and dedication that were the cornerstone of Floorburn U. And Thank You for giving us Old Dawgs that live far from The Dale a reason to search out SIU basketball games on TV and sell the future of Saluki Basketball.
I ran into the Coach outside of the Arena at Homecoming and told him I would be happy just to see a competitive team that reflected his hard-nosed approach to the game while he played for SIU. I would say my hopes were realized.

I am glad to see a team that can play as hard as Bryan did, putting in the effort on and off the court.
