No breaking news, was pretty interesting though. The link in the first post has the full thing
that was great. thanks to bryan and the siu staff for putting that on. after so many years of not believing anything a coach said, it's impossible not to believe everything bryan says.
It was a nice event. Mullins is all class. These aren't easy times to be a college basketball coach (or anything else).
Condolences to the Gooch family ... awful news about Brendon's dad.
What a great video production! Fantastic way to stay in touch with students, alumni, fan base, and media. Congrats to Coach and staff for this information. Just a tremendous effort keeping the information flowing, generating enthusiasm, and marketing Saluki Basketball. And the very thoughtful condolences to the late Mr. Gooch.
So refreshing to see this coach talk about not just winning the MVC, but going to a Final Four. He's provided more energy to this program in a year, than BH did in his entire tenure.

Not only is that a great thing in general, but it's also a sign of optimism that Southern has a really good chance to keep these guys for four years, which has to be in the back of everyone's mind in this era of rampant transfers and poaching of talented players by the big-$ schools. It's critical to keep your best players for their junior and senior years if you want to make a splash in March, but far from a given these days.
The longer Bryan and this staff are intact, the more our poorly kept Carbondale secret will get out. High caliber players are going to want to come here more and more.
It won't be long before the success translates to wins and losses.
