Finally turned the guards lose and played faster, instead of standing around trying to force it inside. Great comeback ,glad to see players gut that out
This is one of the weirdest games I have ever watched. The team could have quit at the half, but they didn't.
Man I was disappointed with the lazy effort in the 1st half, especially on D. 2nd half we looked great, tons of energy, really using that superior athleticism. Why can't we play like that all the time?? We'd win the MVC easily.
Isn't it amazing when you let kids just play up tempo, use their God given talents and have fun? These guys can attack the basket, they have good instincts, and love the game. You could see what a great time they were having being aggressive and playing like they know. That was fun to watch and I hope it keeps up, the rest of year, win or lose, will at least be fun, for them, and for us. You can get Bol and Pippen involved too, they will adjust easily enough and with them being able to substitute for each other shouldn't wear out. And Beane needs to play major minutes. oh, and also, we still need a new coach.
Darius Beane player of the game - well deserved! He needs to get that many minutes every game - talented player.
Second half the team we thought they'd be showed up. Armageddon is on hold for now.

I'm really happy for the players. They really gutted out that win and honestly, forgetting for a little bit the larger picture issues we have, it was damn fun to watch. I still don't see them finishing with any more than 11 wins in conference and I sure as hell don't see them winning the tournament.
Reis said Barry was in tears at the end of the game.

Probably because he knew if they got blown out tonight he was going to be fired. I absolutely believe that
This doesn't change my overall opinion of Hinson or his mediocre body of work, but you've gotta give it to him. Whatever he said or didn't say at halftime, it worked. That was a Lazarus-like comeback.

Unless he let Beane make the adjustments. I am having a hard time swallowing BBQ let them run and gun
I have no problems giving credit for the win, I'm glad they won, but the fact is siu is .500, bunch of bad losses, no good wins, no chance at an NIT bid, and have to win 3 or 4 games in STL, which is the same situation Hinson is in every year. Congratulations to everyone?? Hinson acts like we made final 4, geez we just beat a bad team at home to maybe salvage a decent season, way to go..

It's losses like this that lead me to believe Jacobsen's seat is getting very warm in Frostbite Falls. As it should be.

The Green kid for UNI is the real deal and their future but being a freshman he had 6 turnovers at all the wrong times. UNI played good defense in the first half but in the second half they must have eaten a bunch of PT's BBQ sauce and caught a bad case of PT itis . The symptoms are turning the ball over, not running a proper offense, dribbling too much, lackadaisical defense, etc etc.
I hear that PT itis is over with after 24 hours of being away from PT. 😀 😉
Green has first team potential. But the rest of that team is gd awful.
I still can't believe UNI just rolled over like that in the second half.
