D'Avanzo is having a huge first half - I am happy for him. That being said, I still hope that SIU has a MAJOR upgrade at that position next year.
If you're talking about the 5 spot, yes we have Muila and Ebube coming in. If you're talking about the 4, Troy D'Amico is in no way ready to take over for D'Avanzo. I see Domask moving to the 3 next year and being an absolute force there.

While an infusion of athleticism would be useful at multiple spots, it would be especially helpful to add a transfer this spring/summer at the 4 who can really rebound and defend.
That said, nice half for Anthony.

Think getting an athletic 2 guard would be the best use of recruiting this offseason. They tried this offseason with AJ Staton McCray and Jeremiah Williams and missed on both.

I couldn't have said it any better.
Filewich hasn't been bad by any stretch but he's been missing some shots he's been making this year. Still has 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists.
Maybe a game changing possession there for Valpo. Krikke with 2 offensive rebounds and Clay gets an and 1.

SIU has had some chances at pulling away but Valpo keeps hanging around.
The Valpo Freshman Ognacevic is killing this team
SIU was leading at the half but had to shoot 50% from 3pt in order to do it. That was NOT sustainable, as evidenced that they are now shooting 1-7 in the 2nd half. The fact that this team has to shoot lights out from deep in order to beat VALPO, says a lot about where this team is currently at (win or lose).

Some ugly possessions down the stretch for SIU. 3's aren't falling this half like they were last half.
Last possession of the game.........unless someone shoots it with 5 seconds left. I'd have Jones drive and see if he can make some FT's

For sure would let Jones do something here. Whether that's get to the rim or kick out for a shot.
