I see Murray St., Valpo, and the Redturds are starting the year against D4 schools, while Ind. St. is playing some nuns.
Thank goodness we're playing a tough opponent that will make us better!
Kentucky State plays an exhibition on Thursday at Kentucky. Will be interesting to see how they fare there before opening night on Monday.
Has Hensley been cleared to play?
The advancement and diffusion of knowledge is the only guardian of true liberty.

Has Hensley been cleared to play?
I would be shocked if he was cleared this season. I posted an article a week ago about Jaylon Tyson getting denied at Cal and he had more of a case than Hensley and most transfers.
A couple of interesting games on the schedule next week....
* Bradley opens up with a couple of Top 25 mid-major teams, going to UAB and Utah State at home.
* Belmont goes to Southern Conference favorite Furman.
* St. Louis U has a couple of future Saluki opponents with Southern Indiana and ISUred at home next week.
* Missouri St. (West Virginia), Indiana St. (Alabama), So. Indiana (Michigan St.) and No. Dakota St. (Creighton) have Power 5 games next week.
Kerr Kriisa got suspended for the first 9 games for WVU so hopefully Missouri State can take advantage
i do not trust the NCAA to be fair in anything so I am also not optimistic about Hensley being eligible, even though Verplancken was a two-time transfer when he went to Weber St. and he was immediately eligible. He was a starter and had much more playing time at SIU than Hensley had at Cincy. If we were Kansas or Bill Self there would be no problem in granting him immediate eligibility and maybe even give him an extra year.

The NCAA is cracking down on 2nd time transfers starting this year. We’ve seen it football and it’s carrying over into basketball. In my opinion, this is good for college sports in the long-run but sucks for the players in the short-term.
In my opinion, if your coach leaves, you should get a free transfer no matter what. That’s something out of the athlete’s control and they should be given the chance to find a new situation.
Are any of this years games on ESPN+? It's not listed on the schedule. I assume most that aren't on CBS will be on + ?
I would think that all of the home games and all of the Valley games will be on ESPN+, unless it's superceded with some national games.

ESPN’s website has every game but those CBS Sports Network games on ESPN+ right now but that could change if games are picked up by ESPNU. Also Bally Sports still has a few games I think locally.
@salukiworld Thank you. For some reason I didn't think to check the ESPN website 🙂

I wouldn’t have known either but I checked last night. Seems like the SIU website is slow to update because they seem to have official game times that are listed as “TBA” on the SIU website as well.
Just to see something really cool, look at the ESPN MBB schedule for next Monday. I can't even count how many games are available to watch on Monday. I wish I could take the day off work.
