Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like SIU would be in good shape for top-4 if they split the road games at Evansville and Bradley and beat UNI in the regular season finale, based on likely head-to-head/NET tiebreakers?

A loss to UNI would be an issue because it would give them the tiebreaker. And obviously running the table would make things very tidy.

2-1 and you're pretty much assured of 4 seed, 3-0 and you are a lock. Very unlikely you catch Bradley in NET so you would need them to lose 2 games down the stretch to overtake them for 3rd (also unlikely given their schedule).

1-2 MIGHT get you there, but also unlikely as you would need UNI to lose to Valpo in that scenario assuming they also lose to Drake. Belmont has a much easier path to 2-1, but you would likely win heads up with them b/c it would go to NET. If all 3 tied in this scenario we would be the 6 seed as our head to head against them would be 1-3.

I don't think UNI or Belmont are going 3-0 although Belmont has a shot. Let's just win all 3 and leave no doubt!

Honestly, they would be in good shape with just a UNI win probably.  I don't see Belmont or UNI getting to 12.  As long as they beat UNI and get the NET tiebreak 11 will probably do it.

If we go 3-0, we are more than likely the 3 seed. Bradley would have a loss to us and then play Drake on the road which Bradley could win but they would be the underdog.  All the options are on the table we could go 3-0,2-1,1-2 or 0-3.

Obviously a Thursday game is still a possibility, but assuming they advance to Friday either way, looks likely it’ll either be Belmont or a UNI rematch in the 4-5 game. Outside chance of falling to 6 and getting Bradley in the quarters or jumping up to third (and still getting Belmont or UNI).

Kind of torn about what’s the better scenario. All would be quite challenging.

Belmont has a good shot at finishing 12 - 8, which is where I think we will end up. Since they beat us worse than we beat them, wouldn't they own the tie breaker?

If it is just the two of us tied, it would go to NET which we would win b/c we split. It doesn’t matter what the scores were…unless they’ve changed something this year.
