YU DARVISH SUCKS.
Not a good start to his Cub career.
Kind of mimicking Jon Lester's first season as a Cub.
I mentioned the same thing to somebody today. It seems like it takes a season after signing a big free agent deal before the player becomes the guy the Cubs thought they were getting. Of course, somebody should tell Jason Heyward he's in year 3 so he can't use that excuse. Just hoping he doesn't turn into Alfonso Soriano.

I mean, Heyward is much worse than Soriano ever was as a Cub. Soriano just grew old, Heyward is theoretically in the prime of his career.
Kinda quiet in this thread. What’s up fellas ? You guys are still going to win the division.

Cubs are losing games but the Cards keep losing players in this series....Pham, Leone, Norris, and now Yadi (I cringed when I saw him take that ball).
I knew there was going to be trouble when during the broadcast Kasper said "The Cubs haven't lost a game this season where they lead after the 6th inning". That was the kiss of death right there.

Well, we got that one out of the way then. 😉

Hope this team misses the playoffs. Changes need to be made.

What changes? They purged the entire staff other than Joe.
Basically the same group of players has been to 3 straight NLCS with 1 WS.
It is May 7, April was extremely choppy with the weather, delays and cancelled games.
Cubs need Rizzo to get going. He's a huge part of what makes the O go.
It sucks they got swept by STL but prior to last weekend the Cubs had won/split 9 of the last 10 series with them. They were going to get the Cubs sooner or later. Plus a play here and there and the Cubs take 2 of 3.
It’s the same exact team as last year without the built in “World Series hangover” excuse. Maybe they’re good enough to flip a switch again and win the division but the division is tougher this year so I’m not sure that’s a wise strategy. And even if they do turn it on again, will they complain of fatigue again in October like they did last year? I thought this team would be different.

It is May 7 and they are 3.5 games out. Look at Washington and LA, granted LA has had some injuries. But the 3 stumbled through the first month of the season. I obviously would rather have a good start but it is still way to early. And they were just 16-12 a few days ago, it was a crappy series in STL.
I thought it was a pretty good series 😬

It was a great series! Two out of three go-to extra innings. Two walk-off homers in extra innings. What else can you ask for?! 😊

Washington is missing Murphy and LA is missing Turner and Seager. The Cubs have had some injuries too but this might be the most healthy they'll be all season. This next stretch of games is going to tell a lot about this team. They need to beat up on bad teams.

Trolling in May, I see...I’ll stay confindent in the team that’s been in 3 consecutive NLCS over the one that’s missed it the playoffs last two years.😉

The Cubs will win the division I was just having some fun while I can
Hope Baez is nothing to serious.
