barkeep?
barkeep??
barkeep???
(1) US COVID-19 statistics (February 29, 2020-June 16, 2020): 2,124,000 reported cases and 115,052 deaths
(2) Donald Trump (June 15, 2020) told a group of senior citizens that there would be very few cases of COVID-19 if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing: "If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually."
(3) Donald Trump [(Jan 20, 2020), when asked if he's worried about a pandemic]: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.”
Jerry Kill is a decent guy from everything I know about him. Is he a perfect human? Nope! (Unlike Brian Mullins! 😀 )
After he left the AD thing, a few on here really got their panties in a wad. I had no problem with it - I'm sure he'd rather be in (or close to) coaching than administration, like he said.
he didn't "leave" here. he was told to get out of town.
Oh really? You have some super-secret knowledge no one else has? Jerry Kill was fired? Until I see some evidence, I don't believe that one bit!
No (extra) disrespect intended to those who post here about Jerry Kill...except for the following--
Please supply specific examples of the backstabbing, ego and crap you are referring to--and recall that in life and divorces, there are (at least) two sides to every story
2 very public instances of his pettiness. see his lawsuit against southern illinois university after he quit. see also his public attacks on the football coach at minnesota while he was working here.
these are minor things but provide a glimpse in to what sits below.
do a info request on the number of grievances that were pending.
believe what you want. barkeep has always been spot on with these things, too. it's not a big secret that there were serious frictions on campus between him and management and board. give it some time and see if he is welcome back for a 4th time.
You're wrong about the Minnesota thing. I read everything about that incident. I wouldn't classify it as petty, and I sure wouldn't call what he said "attacks" - he was pretty mild about it but let it be known that he didn't think much of Fleck's remarks. Kill was ticked because of the disrespect former assistant P.J. Fleck showed to the previous coaching staff. I don't blame Kill. Fleck took over a 10 win program. Tracy Claeys got fired for standing up for his players against some "guilty until proven innocent" type charges. Fleck's remarks were public masturbation in my opinion.
If you've ever watch Fleck interviewed on the Big 10 network, you quickly realize he's a rigid, self-aggrandizing, hackneyed slogan machine.
Claeys was wrong and Fleck is a helluva coach.

He was not fired. Yet. But it was coming
Claeys was wrong and Fleck is a helluva coach.
Claeys was defending players convicted of breaking UM rules without a fair hearing or appeal from what I understand. But that is completely irrelevant.
Claeys won 10 games before getting fired and Fleck starting bad mouthing the previous regime as if they didn't have a winning program. He was stroking himself ... and that's what Kill took exception do.
Kill was a heck of a coach, and Claeys was pretty darn good too. Fleck is a good coach - we'll see if he can sustain this year's success at UM. I'm not sure bs like "row the boat" and other slogans are sustainable as a coaching philosophy.
I'd take Ryan Day any day of the week over him though - Big 10 Coach of the Year in his first year...and appears to be an actual human being in interviews.
I hope Hill can turn around our FB program like Fleck did at Western Michigan. I think Fleck has made his bones.

That's weak sauce.

Looks like Missouri State went way worse than Jerry Kill:

Tell me (anyone who posts here): exactly how is Jerry Kill ever included in the same sentence as Art Briles?
Be specific.

As far as I know he is not. Jerry does whatever he can do to help Jerry. Briles condones Rape and is a total POS human being. That’s like comparing BBQ to Hitler

OK, you've convinced yourself he walks on water and can explain away minnesota. you don't have much to say about his lawsuit against SIU. you don't have much to say about the vitriol on campus with him that's no big secret. doesn't matter to me what you choose believe. it's no top secret thing like you try to paint. people around denied the basketball coach was gone. they denied we had hired mullins. you know there is something to it or you wouldn't be here arguing. you are smarter than this total denial. regardless, some very reliable people here have tried to inform you.
at the end of the day, even if everything else about him is wrong, saluki athletics and us boosters had to pay money we didn't have to defend against a nuisance lawsuit filed by the guy who broke his contract.
did you even bother to do an info request on pending grievances?

I don't know anything about what goes on behind closed doors on campus. Don't know the details of his lawsuit against SIU - if he lost, he probably had to pay SIU's legal fees, if any.
I completely agree with Kill about the Minnesota thing. Fleck's a donkey schlong IMO!
I believe somewhere I said Kill's human - not perfect . However, I Have seen him walk on water twice!
He replaced the volleyball and baseball coaches and did hire Mr. Mullins after all!
