Good news for a change! Salukis put a top-notch beating on the Illini. SIU wins 12-3.
How embarrassing for Illinois
Always nice to beat the Illini, but too little, too late....
March on triumphantly!

That's it....the season is a success. We took 1 out of 4 from the hiding illini.......but SIU kicked their a$$ in this last game..... 🤣 . Kidding of course. I expect this to be the norm.....not the exception to the rule.

Won again today, gotta make that end of the year run towards .500 once we're already out of contention that way they can justify yet another year of refusing to change
Attended the baseball alumni weekend in C'dale. Great to get back to campus and meet up with all the former Salukis that returned as we do every year. Glad to see the Dawgs sweep Evansville. Alumni finally got to see some positive results. But the question is.... What does this team do next? Lost 10 in a row and then won 5 in a row. This weekend series against Valpo on the road will tell. They are the current MVC cellar dweller. And then Dallas Baptist for the final series. Celebrate a great weekend but get to work to end the up and down inconsistency. We shall see.....
Given the historic performance of this program under this coaching regime, change is in order. I hate to see anyone lose their jobs and it's a bummer if your on the team or a new recruit, to have to go through coaching changes, but the results year after year after year, just aren't acceptable. As someone already said, you don't make investments without any ROI. It's time to expect much more.
