Salukis up 5-1 in the 7th.
It looks like SEMO is our only road game between today and April 16th. Great scheduling!!

Kind of hope they add more games on ESPN+. Connor Onion does a good job and the production quality has been very good. This is a fun team to watch.
Looks like they're going to take this one too. They're rolling.
Wonder how they stack up in the MVC.

Onion just said the next scheduled broadcast is April 2. That's not good at all when the program is off to its best start since 1967.
The lack of ESPN+ scheduling is horrible. Not only from a baseball standpoint as the team is rolling for the first time in forever, but COVID attendance issues (ie Hill is closed, limited capacity, some may not be comfortable getting out yet, etc.)
I don’t understand why the hill is closed. People are spaced out there in normal times so it shouldn’t be a problem.
A win over UT-Martin today by the football score of 14-7 keeps them undefeated. With the softball team winning twice this afternoon to also stay unbeaten, this is one fun race to watch!
It will be interesting to see how the O stacks up against MVC pitching. It’s a pitching and defensive league, after all.
But wow, this is impressive and exciting. Not to harp on it, but it’s a damn shame no one can see it (neither by broadcast or in person).

It would be good to hear the reasoning for this, @mikereis Curious if it is a financial issue, covid issue, ratings issue something else.
I can certainly understand the reluctance to put people in small production room or limited space in the press box. However, that's all speculation.
Are you willing and able to speak to it, Mike? Thank you!

Might have to do with football going on too
@saluki-69. Sure. Let me first say it has nothing to do with Covid or $. We ESPN+ everything we can. This is the biggest issue: We have only one mobile TV production trailer. It has to be pulled to each site. Picking up the equipment, packing the trailer, and then moving it are not as simple as it sounds. So, we can only do one game per site per day. There is also the issue of crew members. The crew members are supposed to be Radio-TV students. But, with 90% of the students taking classes remotely, there aren't any students. So we use our 4 paid staff members and volunteers for the crew. We are producing games with 50% staffing and even those people aren't available every game. Then, there is the unusual added dimension of VB and FB playing alongside MBB, WBB, SB and BSB. Once SOC gets a press box, that team will be in the mix. Audience has to play a role in every decision. The 2 basketballs and football get priority as they have the largest audiences. So, this weekend, WBB has two games. So, the trailer stays at Banterra, though SB, BSB, SOC and VB are also at home. VB hasn't been on much and they are going to play Sunday and Monday. So, moving the trailer to Davies for 2 events today and tomorrow is more efficient than moving it to SB or BSB for one game today. Especially since those teams, though hot right now, have many more home games coming after VB is finished. Later this spring, the issue will be when SB and BSB both play at home on the same days. We can't do both. In short, please know we do everything we can. Frankly, a bigger concern for me than the legit issue you've raised is wearing out our crew and not having the volunteers necessary to crew the events later this spring as well as overtaxing our paid staff. I hope this helps. We DO start radio BSB on 3/12!
