Need the the offense to get back to firing on all cylinders and we can make a run back to the championship
So we're on at 11 am CT vs. Indiana St.
I wonder how many times a team that lost its first game has come back to win the whole thing. I read the other day that Wichita State did it back in the early 2000s (2004, I think?) by beating - guess who - in the championship game.
Dawgs up 7-2 in the bottom of 6. Farmer was great, but got in some trouble and just got pulled. Hopefully McDaniel can get us out of this jam.
And he did. Whew. That was big to get out of that inning without any damage.
If the Salukis can get ahead and save some of their arms, they have a shot. I just worry they don’t have enough pitching depth over the next few days when they face an Evansville or Dallas Baptist or even Mo State again
Nice bounce back win. McDaniel threw 40 pitches. Not too bad for a little over 3 innings. Hopefully he's feeling good to go tomorrow.
Looks like SIU will face the Dallas Baptist/Evansville loser
Dallas Baptist it is at 11:00 AM Saturday
Let's hope the DBU pitching is as bad as it was against Evansville ..lost 21 - 3.
Combs getting the start today. Don't think he's pitched since last weekend at Illinois State (2 innings).
Anyone know what's happened to Mike Hansell? He did well earlier in the season, but he hasn't pitched since early April.
After 6, dawgs and DBU tied at 2-2.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Steidl is looking good. Time to get the bats going.
Rodriguez with a single to right with bases loaded to score 3. What a huge at bat that was.
Dawgs up 5-2.
Let's go!
Hagedorn hits 2 run HR. Dawgs 7 - DBU 3.
Just need 3 outs - top of the 9th!
