Believe that's partially true; small, private, NAIA schools might not be affected by Title IX, but small, private, NCAA schools are. Daughter is currently swimming at a small DII school with just a few sports. The son swam at a small DII school with every sport known to man!! They have alpine/cross country skiing, beach volleyball, road cycling, mountain biking, football, basketball, baseball, T&F, men's and women's wrestling, etc, etc, etc. That school, Colorado Mesa, doesn't offer too many schollies, but they do use the "Mountains and Plains program" to give out of staters (athletes) a huge discount on tuition. The daughter gets that at her school plus a partial athletic scholly.
My grandson is enrolled at North Central College- Naperville IL. They offer similar sports programs.
