Via the Midwest Hoops Spotlight site (@MidwestHoopsSL), looks like Zach Cleveland, a 6'7" forward out of Normal (IL) Community HS, is planning a summer visit.
Looks like he has offers from IL St and SEMO.

Pretty sure King visited us twice in 2019. Seems like we're very interested.
With all due respect to the aforementioned Mr. King, my guess is Jalen Quinn is at the very top of Southern's wish list for 2022 guards. He could be tougher to land, but he's also reportedly visiting Carbondale in June:

Quinn is part of Illinois Wolves I believe so might not be too difficult but if Marquette offers or the Big Ten schools get involved that connection only goes so far.
Other visits lined up according to Prephoops.com:
Robbie Avila 6'8 PF Oak Forest:
"Avila has emerged as an extremely coveted mid-major post prospect that is going to have a heated recruitment over the next few months. The skilled four man will kick it off with Loyola on June 1. He will then head out to Richmond on June 11 and follow that up with Southern Illinois on June 14."
NJ Benson 6'6 PF Mt. Vernon:
"The top post player from Southern Illinois is gaining momentum in his recruitment and that is shown in his visit list. Benson will trip to Butler on June 3, Ohio on June 13, and Illinois State on June 15. South Dakota State and Southern Illinois are also in the mix for potential visits in June."
Zach Cleveland 6'7 PF Normal Community:
"Cleveland might be the biggest stock riser in the state as he will see a massive jump in the next rankings update. The skilled face up four man who runs with the Illinois Hoopstars on the Prep Hoops Circuit has several visits lined up. SIU-Edwardsville on June 3, Belmont on June 11, Liberty June 13, Wofford June 21, Loyola on June 28, and Southern Illinois on June 30."

Typically that is the case but every once in a while, MVC teams (at least contending MVC teams) can win a recruiting battle that on paper seems like a longshot. Hopefully this is one of those instances. Loyola also has had good traction with the Wolves and their new coach is a strong recruiter, so Loyola will be enough of a challenge for Quinn and some others Southern is after, let alone the Marquettes of the world.

I’m still trying to figure out where the scholarships are coming from

This is a big season for several guys on the roster who are in their second or third years in the program. Time to show they can be strong contributors to a championship-caliber program, or some rides will open up. And beyond that, there's always the risk these days of losing guys you want to hold onto.
It would be nice to always keep room for a good local recruit
Robbie Avila 6'8 PF Oak Forest, Il scheduled for an on campus visit this Monday. This kid checks all the boxes as a "Mullins" recruit.
@salukis60 It would be great to see Mr. Avila in a Saluki uniform!
Any news on the Avila campus visit??
