@siudawgs I concur. Signing Hornecker out of high school was a pretty nice coup also, considering his other offers. Mullins has talked about looking at guys who are in the portal “for the right reasons”. Other than that it can be feast or famine, you may have a strong team from time to time, but it is no way to build a program. I believe it would be possible to end up with some malcontents if you weren’t careful. Team harmony is important.

Had any of the 5 been on an official visit this summer? What about Davis? Bryan is very methodical in his recruiting he wants to make sure the recruit is a fit here, I don't think he will take a kid UNLESS he has visited. So that is why I would like to know who has been on an official visit this summer.

It seems that he would be a great get for SIU. With SLU in the mix certainly would be a recruiting win.
Agree that Davis would be a very nice pickup, and it also would be encouraging to see Southern re-establish recruiting success in the St. Louis area … it’s been a bit.

Other than the fact we recruited him and his brother, not really. I know college basketball is a cut-throat business but I’d be pretty surprised if SIU was pulling strings here and forcing a de-commit with Mullins’ previous relationship with Valentine and Loyola.
