Landon Moore seems to be similar to Jones except that he can competently run the point.

We're listed first. Any meaning there?
If I get my pick, I'll take Camren Hunter or Landon Moore (or both)!

I've been putting EvanMiya information from their portal tracker (behind a paywall) in the SIU portal tracker list I have. Hunter would be amazing get, he's currently #60 in their rankings, Moore is 127, and DeAnthony Tipler from ETSU is 121. They'll continue to fall as hundreds of players get added to the portal. SIU really needs a big hit in this portal season whether Domask/Jones are back or not.
Great Lakes (strong DII league) player of the year Rasheed Bello is in the portal and could be a guy to watch for Southern. He went to DePaul Prep, a program the Mullins clan has strong ties to, for high school. He's a small but dynamic guard and apparently a very talented two-way player. I think he has two years left.

Why are we recruiting bigs? Are we losing someone?
Showing an interest and recruiting are two different things plus you can't have enough big men especially if they have a skill set you covet
Get involved with as many talented players as possible. Could pay off down the road.
His stats were eye popping in conference play, despite playing only 4 games (all of which he started). He avg 18pts, shooting 63% from the field, including 64% (not a mistype) from 3pt. He also shot 86% from the line with 4rbs and 4.3assts.
This would be a really nice get as he has proven he can play, improved throughout the season AND has 3 years of eligibility left.

Somewhat confusing to me as well. That being said, they are losing the big who played the most minutes in conference. And while many salivate over our 7' Center, the fact that he couldn't get any PT last season likely means he is not the super star some though he would be. Circumstances were certainly against him, but if he were an absolute beast in practice, he would have played. Rupert is a team player with tons of energy and some offensive game but he seems more like an energy guy to bring off the bench. If this team is going to take that step up next season, they will need Ebube to be the monster that we hope he can be, OR recruit another big. Surely, these are just my musings though.
Davis and Vashon resume their journey to the state championship tomorrow with their first tough matchup in facing Father Tolton Regional Catholic. The game looks to be at 2pm. If anyone knows if/where the game may be streamed, please let us know.
