6-0 Senior from Bolingbrook, IL. Averaged 8.8 PPG, 5.3 APGInteresting to see us recruiting a few true point guards. Wonder what that means for X and Banks
It means they’re both Seniors next year. I wouldn’t read any more into it than that.
Great Lakes (strong DII league) player of the year Rasheed Bello is in the portal and could be a guy to watch for Southern. He went to DePaul Prep, a program the Mullins clan has strong ties to, for high school. He's a small but dynamic guard and apparently a very talented two-way player. I think he has two years left.

Can we stop recruiting D2 players, please? Verplancken was mediocre at best, D'Avanzo was completely overmatched at the D1 level, Ferguson couldn't even see the court on a team that struggled with both size and scoring from the 2/3 spots.
Generally players that are at D2 schools are there because they are D2 level players.
Basically agree unless it's a Courvoisier McCauley.
Gotta correct myself. Nothing wrong with D2 if they're outstanding. Three D2 players on the smallest D1 team in the country - Farley, Dick, and Son - just beat #1 Purdue as a #16 seed. Super quick, constantly moving on offensive - impressive.
Our problem is we have recruited so-so D2 players.
We should have no rigid rules about recruiting.

Yes. Let’s only recruit the good players, unlike those other schools. Good rule 😂😂😂
I don't think Fairleigh Dickinson is a team you want to strive to be, they would have finished either 10th or 11th in the Valley this year only ahead of Evansville and maybe UIC. They didn't even win their own conference!
I think the D2 player we've been mentioned with (Rasheed Bello) is fine because he's getting looks from Liberty, Northern Kentucky, and Akron.

One of the VMI players is off the board

He went to Chicago Orr from what I read. And is TJ Ford's son, former Texas star
Wright was previously mentioned but seems like this one is pretty serious:

Assuming everyone is back, could be crowded at the 1 and 2. Who knows we like small lineups…6’2” at the three? Makes me think between Banks, Brown, Jones, and X one of them isn’t coming back.

It’s okay to recruit over guys. Regardless of who comes back, I’ll always take someone better.
