We needed the assistance coach position filled this week so he can begin recruiting.
Starting to wonder if there is some back room wrangling going on with Mullins trying to secure an extension or something so he can give some stability (or maybe perceived stability) to whoever he hires for assistant coach and incoming recruits. Seems like this is taking an awfully long time, in a situation were time isn’t a luxury.
I'm getting a little anxious about recruiting too.
At what point do we start panicking that we've picked up zero transfers from the portal with 5 spots available?

There should be 6 spots but it seems like Brown might be back? I think I’m gonna be watching more Purdue, Illinois, and Green Bay than SIU next year

You're kidding about Brown right? Geez
Hearing that Brown returning is a real possibility . So until we hear for sure that means we only have 5 open spots.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m ok with Trent staying. We need some veteran leadership.
Now I don’t want him playing a ton of minutes, but if we cut down his time to 7-10 minutes a game for some quick 3 balls off the bench and some defensive ball pressure, that’d be alright.

I think most people know the deal at this point. The expectations will be on the floor this fall.
Apathy comes next.
If he wants to bring one of his favorites back for another round, so be it.

I know Trent has certainly had mighty struggles shooting, but honestly I’ll take him in a heartbeat at this point. At least he has potential to shoot the 3 on the current roster. We can’t say that about many right now.
If Trent Brown is starting next year, we will finish in the cellar....and I may not renew my tickets.

Mullins' lineups are notoriously weird and often just bad. You have to question his criteria for playing people. Being a good team guy blah blah does not get you playing time on my D1 team. The brutal truth is we do not need Brown or want to see him get any playing time.

If Brown is still on the Dawgs, I'm off the Mullins train bigtime!

Are you out of your gourd? He's taking up a scholarship that could be offered to a D1 player!!!!! That happens and we know Mullins is done IMO.
