Here is the thing...I just don't see Mullins telling Brown no if he wants to come back. It would be great to keep his leadership around by getting him on staff as a grad assistant, but in the end that is up to the staff. I don't think we will get much in terms of off season moves until they are able to bring on the new assistant coach...clocks ticking.
You do understand you have to have a roster... If Trent comes back it does not mean he is going to be a major contributor. Relax until the dust settles.Might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m ok with Trent staying. We need some veteran leadership.
Now I don’t want him playing a ton of minutes, but if we cut down his time to 7-10 minutes a game for some quick 3 balls off the bench and some defensive ball pressure, that’d be alright.
Are you out of your gourd? He's taking up a scholarship that could be offered to a D1 player!!!!! That happens and we know Mullins is done IMO.

6-1 Junior Guard from Moreno Valley, California. Averaged 15 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 1.3 APG
At least we keep adding more guards to our recruitment list. Good thing, since we need to sign about 5 of them....
Please leave the kid alone. It is not his fault that we are in this situation.Might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m ok with Trent staying. We need some veteran leadership.

Trent Brown is welcome back as far as I am concerned he has had some big moments and some bad ones but one thing for certain he plays to the best of his abilities plays hard and is a team leader would we all like better results yes but games are not won or lost by one individual so give the young man a break and if he wants a fifth year so be it

kids are selling us out all over the place and some of you want to blame a smart hard working Saluki.
why don't you people just worry about why we have 5 or 6 open schollies in the middle of April.
here's a hint...it has nothin to do with the one unpaid student-athlete. leave the players out of it.
Craving a McBride Special!
I agree. If Trent wants to come back let him. It's not like every recruit we're going to get is a 5 star.this! 👍Trent Brown is welcome back as far as I am concerned he has had some big moments and some bad ones but one thing for certain he plays to the best of his abilities plays hard and is a team leader would we all like better results yes but games are not won or lost by one individual so give the young man a break and if he wants a fifth year so be it

I have nothing against Trent Brown - he's obviously a good kid, he plays his butt off, but we're not very good and we need better talent. TB won't help us get where we want to go I'm afraid.
I'm going to have to start mainlining my blood pressure medicine!
Nor will he keep us from getting where we want to go. We have plenty of scholarships open and no one to take them. The talent level of the fifth person we sign from the portal this year will not be higher than any scholarship player currently on the roster.I have nothing against Trent Brown - he's obviously a good kid, he plays his butt off, but we're not very good and we need better talent. Trent Brown is obviously not as talented an overall player as several of the players that chose to leave. That being said, here is a fun fact...... Trent Brown shot 32% from 3pt range, one of the players that chose to leave shot 28%. I think he could add valuable experience, but agree with most that the staff needs to bring in difference making scorers. At this point, I am genuinely concerned not only about next season, but the near future of Saluki basketball.

Agree. I'm just expressing my disappointment with the quality of next year's team, which will not be very good methinks. We are certainly not filling all five openings with Rolan Roberts types. And TB will probably get considerably more minutes than he got last year with Banks, Jones, and Wonders gone.

We had interest before in Tevin Smith from Denver but here's an offer out there
