I want Miller. At the very least seems like he's a slight upgrade over Banks. I know he's not a huge name or whatever but sometimes a kid just needs a chance. Hope we get him
Yep, I think he'd be a good get. Had a nice freshman year for UIW. 3.5 assists, can score and a very good FT shooter. Only obvious area needing improvement is 3 point shooting.https://twitter.com/ThePortalReport/status/1653866242636414978

The Southland is a huge step down from the Missouri Valley and he was on a very bad Incarnate Word team so the numbers are a bit inflated. If he's coming in to play a Dalton Banks role for next year with a chance to develop into something bigger going forward, I'm fine with it. If he's coming in for a bigger role than that, we're gonna be bad. And you might have to offer that to beat out Drake/Western Kentucky here.
He played a ton of minutes last year for a Freshman so I'm thinking he might be coming for a bigger role than expected.

They would have to be recruiting Miller as Lances replacement. We have no one else to start at the 2 spot.

Yeah I'm holding out hope for someone good but apparently they might be starting a Freshman & Sophomore next year or a Sophomore and Trent Brown.

He had very similar numbers to what Lance did in his freshman year. While he did play in a worse conference and played more minutes, I would still expect positive growth to his game. Especially with a summer working out with the team. Everyone was pretty excited for Lance after his freshman year….
I’m not saying everyone needs to be drinking out of the goblet of maroon kool-aid but saying things like “if he’s coming in for a bigger role than that, we’re going to be bad” just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense but you present it like a fact. You, or I, don’t have any idea if he’s going to take a big step forward his 2nd year. And we don’t know the full personnel around him since we still have schollies to fill.
I like the kid. If he improves and Kenard Davis is really good, we would have a very nice core for a few years.

I'd be very happy with this one if we can get him; work your magic, Clarence!
I find it funny that we cry about “ we haven’t signed anyone yet!” And then the next day we go “ we are going to be terrible next year if player x signs and has a large role”, due to said player playing in a lower conference.
My take:
1. Have we watched hours and hours of film on these guys? Or are we just basing all of our thoughts on looking at stats? I have listened to many years of the next great thing to come out of the recruiting ranks from the scouting dept of this message board….only to be let down time and time again.
2. Do I have a lot of faith currently in our recruiting dept….no. But if Drake is after him….might be worth it.
I’ll admit I don’t know anything about recruits. But I do know it takes more than just reading stats. Some on here may be better at it than others….but I’d say most aren’t the best at it either.
Lets sign some players….I’m not going to knock any signee.
Absolutely yes !!! It stinks that you have "argue" such things, but that is the world we live in. Things are not looking good right now, that I would agree with, BUT we still have the opportunity to land some quality players. In MY OPINION we only lost one really good player this offseason so we don't have to replace 5 studs. I get being concerned but the CONSTANT posts about how $hitty the state of the program is, says as much about the posters as it does anything else.
