I know a lot of people ask this, but this article is quite poor. It seems to come from the uneducated fan perspective, and that’s the people that will read it and agree.
You can’t sit there and say that a player would’ve really helped us, and in that same sentence point out that he went to Western Illinois. Really? John A had 1 big fish this year and he went to big brother at Mizzou, meaning that we probably had no shot. Two other kids on that roster were maybes, but probably not big game changers.
Exactly! I wrote him and said essentially the same thing. He pointed out they’d all been to the NCAA tournament since we had. I pointed out they were weaker leagues. Didn’t mention our past success. He seemed more interested in stirring the pot than writing a quality informed article..

I don't think we need to take John A. Logan players just because they went to John A. Logan but if you're going to use winning as a big emphasis in recruiting, it's odd to not be after any of the players that just won a JUCO championship.
