D'Amico might end up playing some guard. We've got a crowd on that front line now. Not super quick for a guard but a heady player who's a good shooter. You don't want him guarding a quick guard on the opponent though. He's only going to get better. 2nd best 3pt shooter on the team (after XJ) but didn't really shoot a lot of them. That baseline 3 shot was his baby.

Seeing the schools we’re up against for these portal guys isn’t terribly comforting.
Don’t expect any visits for about a week. The Arena is set up for graduation and won’t be torn down until mid next week.

Unfortunately, it looks like SIU may have hired Jerrance Howard a little too late in the process to salvage this upcoming season.
But yeah, when you see the caliber of schools Southern is competing against for players, it is disheartening.

Those schools you mentioned are the Dukes and Kentuckys of them. Can’t speak for the OP, but most of the schools I have barely heard of.

I think most of us expected, at this point in Mullins' tenure, to be competing against a higher level than 80% of the schools listed on most of the guys we're in on right now.
I still have hope for this staff, but I think it's reasonable to say they either need to do a better job of developing players or elevating their recruiting game.

We had a lot of bigs last year, too. Ebube and Hornecker barely played behind Muila and Rupert. So it was crowded and still is.
