I’m stunned by this one, he didn’t even have them in his Final 5
I don't think after our two PG commitments he was ever going to come here. If you look through his tweet history it sounds like SIU wasn't the only program to move on. He deleted his Final 5 tweet and on March 30 said his recruitment was WIDE OPEN.
If we’re getting a player left on the list I have, I’d guess Kevon Voyles 6-3 Senior Guard from Maryland Eastern Shore. Averaged 12.9 PPG there and he checks the box as a Senior guard.
I’m holding out hope the player(s) we’re getting aren’t on my list though. I’d love Graham or Wilson but don’t think either are going to happen.
Graham has some talent but I do wonder why things didn't work out at Missouri State and he bounced after a year (heading for his third school). I know he had an injury but even when he was healthy he never really got going for them. Also, he would add to the logjam at the forward and post spots. I'd be open-minded about it if he comes but seems like a bit of a weird fit, both positionally and Mullins culture-wise, compared to the clear need for a scoring guard.
Graham is a SG / SF, not as much of a post player. I think he was not utilized properly under Dana Ford and his system. You watch his tape from the past few years and in high school and he is mega talented.
Graham will have to sit out a year after he transfers. Something to keep in mind.
What @foxman24 said. He's more of a 2/3 guard than a post up guy. He was a solid shooter from beyond the arc 42.6%, even with his limited time (granted he only shot 54 total...probably high enough sample size to say he can knock them down at a decent clip). He give you length at that position as well. The key would be how he plays D...as we saw last year, Mullins isn't going to sacrifice much on D.

I’ll believe Mullins playing a 6-7 2-guard when I see it. 😆
Maybe he’d play some 3.
I already have Nixon on the list but he’s more confirmation on continued interest:

Not too broken up about Tipler. Did we really need a 3rd or 4th string point guard?

I didn’t expect Tipler but he would have been a better option at guard next year than Trent Brown or Miller who are the likely starting options right now. SIU still desperately needs a scorer and I’m not sure they’re recruiting anyone that can do that better than Tipler.
That being said, seems like teams backed out on him. UTRGV is a really shocking destination for a graduate senior.
