Yeah from what I heard and the NIL deal(s) he is wanting, I'm okay with moving past him.
Who is Bartovik and what is his track record?Not too broken up about Tipler. Did we really need a 3rd or 4th string point guard?
I didn’t expect Tipler but he would have been a better option at guard next year than Trent Brown or Miller who are the likely starting options right now. SIU still desperately needs a scorer and I’m not sure they’re recruiting anyone that can do that better than Tipler.
That being said, seems like teams backed out on him. UTRGV is a really shocking destination for a graduate senior.
To each their own, I'd rather have Miller. Tipler is closer to 5'8 than 5'10 and is a senior. We got the better long term guy for sure and quite possibly the better short term as well. Yes, I'm all too aware, and concerned, with the potential scoring concerns but they'll work themselves out once the roster is fully vetted.

@barkeep-1967 They still after some big fish 😀
I literally have zero idea. None of my contacts know anything. Not even a rumor

No X or Trent listed in the above projections? Wonder if that helps the projection?
If D’Amico and Rupert are 2 of our 3 leading scorers this next season, the Salukis are in serious trouble.
Supporter of the Fab 4: Scottie Ebube, Foster Wonders, AJ Ferguson & Cade Hornecker.
They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.
Snagging a big time scorer notwithstanding, I suppose we’ll find out if the young guys waiting in the wings are as talented as we hope they are.

Yes, barring a significant very late recruiting surprise, it's hard to see a path to a top-half MVC finish unless at least one of the young guys (referring to Ebube, Hornecker, Ferguson and the two incoming freshmen) majorly exceeds expectations. It's possible, but hard to count on.

Good point. They have a RosterCast tool and it moves them up to 182 from 239 if you add X and Trent back to the team.

Thanks for that information. Still not very good, but a lot better than 239.

I don't know, expectations for Davis are pretty high. I already have him penciled in for ALL MVC freshmen team myself. Of the NAMED players, Ebube could be a monster *IF* he works his butt off this summer. He, quite frankly, has the physical body you don't often see if the Valley. I'm not making any predictions with him mind you, but I AM saying that he COULD be an absolute monster if things fall into place with his learning and working out.
@dawgbytes It's projections:

Barttorvik, KenPom, along with many other projection sites, really took a hit as a result of the Portal Era, specifically with regards to PRESEASON rankings. It's difficult, if not impossible, to project a team when so many players are moving to and fro.
