Mascoutah HS. #5 rated receiver in Illinois
From Pit Viper Sports Indiana,
Crown Point's Duerig breaks down commitment
At 6-foot-6-inches and 308 pounds, Crown Point senior offensive lineman Aidan Duerig knows all eyes are on him when he is on the field for his size alone.
When you factor in his footwork and ability to make plays, it is easy to see why.
Duerig told Pit Viper Sports Indiana his commitment to Southern Illinois allows him to focus on the season and not recruiting during his senior season.
"SIU has been great since I went down there for junior day to my unofficial visit. They have been nothing but open and communicated with me and my family, and that is huge. Coach Clark and Coach Hill have been incredible. Getting the commitment out of the way now is a big relief because I can focus on the season," Duerig said.

Nice get here. 2 star CB on 247 from Lee's Summit, MO
@salukiworld Yeah, assuming the offers he tweeted out are legit, he had them from Army, South Dakota, North Dakota, Arkansas St, Northern Iowa, SEMO, and others, and was getting interest from some bigger FBS programs.
Looks like a big one.
Given our lack of depth at WR and the fact that we lose both Cox brothers next year, this seems like a no brainer to talk with this guy. We like to run with our WRs on reverses, handoffs and the Wildcat occasionally and we like to get them the ball quickly in space with bubble screens and swing passes. This seems like the perfect fit.

That's a big one. Had a bunch of offers. Cool commitment video too. You don't see those too much at the FCS level.

Wagner's rushing stats the past three years:
2020 1403 yds
2021 1949 yds
2022 2097 yds
Some mid-year transfer offers from what I've been told:
Zack Marker, a 6'2 QB from Norwalk Community College (JUCO), has thrown for 22 touchdowns and has a 6.1 yard per carry running, top 10% in JUCO completion %
A WR from DuPage CC (I think Myles McKatherine, who also has an offer from Central Michigan)
And 6'1 WR Cal Weidemann from Iowa Central CC.

I wasn’t at the game so I didn’t see the senior class walk, but noticed on the video that Stone Norton was a part of that group. I guess he’ll be gone next year, so it makes sense seeing another QB come in to the group. I think Baker is going to be the starter next year, unless Lindauer really shows out in the spring/summer. A JUCO guy coming in, not familiar with the offense seems like a depth piece for next year.
We desperately need some WR help, so glad to see them focus in on that. Would like to see some lineman too on both sides of the ball.
@siu_2011 not just linemen but impact linemen road grader types or maybe a change in philosophy of how to improve the linemen techniques

We just hired a new O-line coach before the season, so he hasn't had a chance to get his guys. This year the line was admittedly young and needed some time to gel. Against the lower level teams we held our own, but struggled against teams with bigger more talented D-Lines (especially NDSU and Ill St.). I'm hopeful they can get a couple guys are both sides of the ball that can make an impact.
