Adrian Owens had an official this visit, but want I really wanted to point out is how good SIU athletics is with the graphics they put out.

They are definitely getting some bigger bodies, last year's recruiting class has some bigger frame guys as well (Chandley 6'4" 290 and Lansing 6'7" 303 come to mind). Problem is, outside of Aiden Logan, these guys are all freshmen. It's really hard for a guy to come straight out of high school and compete in the trenches (not impossible, but at this level rare). We need help now! Building for the future is great, but we need another couple JUCO/transfers who are ready to step in the lineup next year. Maybe they are counting on some of the guys who red shirted last year and our current starters to be a year older/stronger, I don't know.
Hopefully these guys can get in the weight room and contribute soon!

Pretty good 48 hours for Hill and company. They just landed a big commitment from athlete out of St. Charles MO, Jamond Mathis.
He, Benefield, and Aiden Logan are all good pickups with several good FCS offers.
Pretty good offseason for SIU so far between the new commitments and keeping the current roster out of the portal.
