I was going to say the same. Administrative leave typically implies some sort of investigation into conduct of said individual. If this was the case though, it seems odd that he would be allowed to continue coaching over the weekend when she was let go Thursday. If unrelated, this has been a rough week for Saluki athletics

What the F?? If they has just fired him because the soccer team is awful and may not score another goal the rest of the season, I would understand.
Williams was fired without cause this afternoon.
His contract was up in June. No reason given and no statement. That's bullshite! This is a public university last time I checked.
Soccer team just awful - haven't won a game in two years! From what I've seen on ESPN+, a few of the players don't seem a bit bothered by this awful performance. They'd be gone if I was the coach.
Not a good situation for the new women's soccer program. I'm confident SIU will right the ship and get this program on track.
