Zach Gibson is the son of Oliver Gibson.  Oliver Gibson played college football and one season of basketball at the University of Notre Dame. He played 9 years in the NFL for the Steelers and Bengals.  The elder Gibson was the 1989 USA Today High School Defensive Player of the Year and is currently the Head Football Coach at Romeoville High School.

This kid had seven offers.  Most notably was the offer from North Dakota State.  We need to win these recruiting wars if we ever hope to get back to their level.
