Someone remind me why we wanted the Dakotas in the MVFC. Maybe if we try hard enough, we can get the Montanas too.

@beadmedaddio I could see the MVFC and the Big Sky becoming the B1G and SEC of the FCS by the time things are said and done.
Bringing the Dakotas into the MVFC, or Gateway at the time, brought in more $$$ with the expanded conference membership and geography. It was also intended to improve the new teams who at the time just moved up to FCS from DivII and the existing teams. I don't think anyone could have predicted the complete total Dakota domination over the last decade.
