Good defensive backs get better with front 7 pressure

This...doesn't matter how good your DBs are if the QB can sit back in the pocket all day. I'm still nervous about the big guys up front on both sides of the ball. I think the D-Line was actually decent last year getting pressure on the QB, but they got absolutely destroyed in the run game.

For me, that will be the difference between having a good year and a great year. Not every team has lines like NDSU obviously, but the next step for us is beating teams like that when it matters and that starts up front.

Anyone going to the SIU/Northwestern game?  Planning on attending with ~11 other Salukis.  Hope to see some Saluki Insiders at the game.

Looking forward to the Buffalo Turds coming here in November. Last time they played us outside that mausoleum in Fargo where they have a huge advantage, we kicked their a s s! I think we're going to have a strong running game for a change (those good Kill teams always had a good running game - we were 6th in the league last year), and if we show up in beautiful Saluki Stadium, we can do it again!!!!! They need to learn a littler humility. Can't wait.

SIU picked 4th as expected. We get 5 on the pre-season all conference…not one OL or DL on either team…if that’s the same at the end of the season I will venture to guess we didn’t have the year we hoped.

Line play has been my main concern since the end of last year, so I hope our guys put that chip on their shoulder and come out swinging.

Anybody going to the practices?  Need scouting reports.  Rumor on the street is barkeep is even willing to pay for the info.  YOU DA MAN BARKEEP!!!  My man, underdawg, would always pm me and keep me in the loop.  Sadly don't hear from him anymore.
