I just watched a sports report that said Alabama has 30 transfers as of now.
Had to expect it with Saban’s departure. Deboer will have to win early and often right outta the gate. If he doesn’t he’ll be gone in a hurry.
Like the looks of the transfers Hill just signed. The RB Will Hartson from Ohio State had offers from a bunch of schools - could be "the man" for SIU. Also signed a couple of big receivers and CBs.
We offered Hartson out of high school, as did Toledo, Buffalo, Miami O., BC, etc.
Everybody’s talking about the basketball pickups, but I noticed on Twitter that Hill picked up a couple commitments earlier this week too.
I haven’t had time to research them, but on the surface they look like good ones.
Both from Akron OL and DB. Robarge the OL looks like a good get! Started some for them last year and was a full time starter the year before. McClendon is the D Back. We will be his 4th school. He started with Marshal and played in about half their games as a freshman. 2nd year at Charleston Southern where he had really good stats. Looks like he didn't play for Akron last year even though he was on their roster. We are really raiding Akron's roster! Andrew Behm LB form Akron. Played a lot for them and was a JUCO All American before that! Looks like 4 good gets in short order. 3 on defense to make up for the losses of Smith and Davis.

I really don’t know what to expect this season with likely a step back on defense and basically a brand new offense but the staff seems to be doing good work in the portal and high school recruiting grabbing talented players. So even if this year is a step back, I’m pretty optimistic going forward.
