Assuming all concrete has been poured at the SIMMS site? Has anyone noticed this driving by that location? Steel structure should be starting very soon I would imagine.
Foundation and footings are all poured - bunch of pipes sticking up, etc.
Looks to be a good sized building.
Thank you for the update. Assuming pipes are rough in for plumbing, and conduit for electrical. Rendering's online present it to be quite large/impressive.
Hearing from some folks who live local to Carbondale, that the steel framework has begun to take shape at the new SIMMS center. Looking forward to seeing in person when I venture over for a few Saturday games.
Bunch of I beams sticking up from the concrete - something's going on there. LOL

Roof is about on the train station - big building. Big enough for Thomas and Gordon!
They're laying the brick walls at the new train station - gonna be a great looking addition to the strip.

Great to hear this. Looking forward to seeing this project in the Fall.
Agree that it will be a welcomed addition to The Strip!
There's a mountain of asphalt where the Tedrick building is going - done tearing up the parking lot I assume.
Lots of concrete in south of the existing train station - I assume for buses or parking. I think once the new multi-modal building is done, the existing tiny Amtrak station will be taken down.
Work on the new bandshell/entertainment center in downtown C'dale has begun. Bulldozing and site prep.
Bike path from Cdale to Murph along 13 is in progress. Also more work on the bike path out by Crab Orchard. Eventually from Murph to Marion.
