It was 19 days from Bryan’s hire to his announcing his staff. It was into May when they were signing guys Patience!
Bryan’s staff was announced on April 17

Actually it was 27 days. March 20 to April 17. My mistake.
Of course, this is a no-visit period in college basketball until next Thursday. I would not read much into the lack of player acquisition at this point. Things should really heat up in the portal by a week from now.
And comparing now to 5 years ago is fruitless because of the portal environment now.
"IndyStar columnist Gregg Doyel wrote following the NIT semifinals it's an "open secret" in the Sycamores' locker room four of their five starters would "most likely" follow Schertz to Saint Louis.

That sound you hear is another meltdown coming from the Sycamores board.
I think it sucks for the Valley but Sycamores fans are really embarrassing themselves. Schertz gave them a season they'll never forget and the fact that they're tearing him down is pathetic.

The fact that they couldn’t come up with more than $850k/6 years after that season I find embarrassing. Even more so that they are acting like he’s stupid for leaving for over twice that pay, plus all of the other perks of the SLU job. He’s leaving the worst job in the MVC for probably the best job in the A10.
Schertz was one of the lowest paid coaches in the Valley this year and what he did with that team this year is incredible. I love the Valley and want us to keep good coaches and players but anyone is taking a $850,000 a year to $2 million a year pay raise.
Rivera transferring from UIC to DePaul. Another Valley transfer to the Demons.
With a core of D’Amico, NJ Benson, and Rivera I can definitely see DePaul staying within 50 points of UConn next year
Look for DePaul and SLU to both look heavily to the Valley for transfers. Seeing the success of Domask and Jones, the Big 10 also.

😂😂😂... Exactly!

Probably true but ultra problematic.
