Trey Miller is back in the portal:

What?! No!😩
May have been informed he would have had a diminished role. Just a hunch. Definitely not getting much, if any NIL money from programs, so I doubt that's the problem. Seems like a really good kid, but the reality is there are plenty of players as good or better available in the portal.@salukiworld What happened to Trey???
@resaluki-88 He wouldn't get significant minutes on a depleted team? Something doesn't add up.
Maybe this is due to some recent portal visits and expected signings for SIU? Potential talent upgrades at the 1 and 2? If that’s the case, I can see Trey wanting to get his name back out there before the deadline.
I hope this means good news upcoming.
--Insert something witty here--
This seems the most likely scenario with the deadline approaching.
In the NIL era you can't determine whether a team is depleted or not until your roster has been filled out. Nagy and staff may feel they have portal momentum with visits coming up. Also, might have felt he wasn't a great fit for what they are looking for in a combo guard. It also may have been Miller's idea, I'm just speculating.@resaluki-88 He wouldn't get significant minutes on a depleted team? Something doesn't add up.
@rafflaw could mean someone better is coming. I don’t know this for sure, but that could be it.
Weird with the Miller waffling, but weird is the norm these days.
Needless to say, the next few weeks are critical for next season.
Makes perfect sense.@resaluki-88 He wouldn't get significant minutes on a depleted team? Something doesn't add up.
Ugh, all my pro Miller talk has been for naught, LOL. Here's hoping that, as others have stated, we might have some better kids coming in and possibly signing soon. On the surface this just doesn't look good, except to the 2 (or 3) mega negative troll posters.
