The NCAA flies teams home after game or early the next day. They don’t pay for xtra days for room and board.

so basically they flew home today. So it would ASSUME that if something was going to happen. This weekend would be the opportunity to get the affairs in order to either move on or look at another opportunity for the coach. Longer it goes the more likely we are not going to get our best choice. Relatively speaking!
Meanwhile, Missouri State is going through the same thing as SIU is with the presumptive preferred candidate as there's no announcement even though McCollum's team was eliminated from the Division II tournament three days ago. Looking at the board over there, it appears that there might be some red tape with the job posting that would prevent the hiring from taking place until March 23 (tomorrow). Either that or Missouri State isn't as sold on him as people think, or vice versa.
I know it kind of sucks not hearing much of anything, but i have to say, im pretty impressed with the athletic department and their ability to keep a lid on it if we've got an agreement and it hasn't leaked.
@quatroschallengesaluki agree! Glad we didn't use a firm or whatever it was 😆
@grimper57 I agree entirely. People just throw rumors out there without a shred of real knowledge.

or they just don’t have a coach or candidates lol

Word is that MoState may go the "Bobby Petrino" route and hire a name. Meanwhile, McCollum is still out there.

Or Paul Lusk 🤣
'Old man's energy.' Paul Lusk left Purdue to be a head coach, returned a better assistant.
