While I wish all of the former Salukis all the best I don't believe it is necessary to keep a running report to let us know what is going on because the comparison that will eventually come won't be fair to this year's team

Would really love to have had Filewich and Banks as seniors and Wonders as a weapon off the bench.

I really dont understand the staffs handling of personnel or roster management, ngl.

I am indifferent to Domask and Jones leaving. Honestly I am ready for this Era of covid players in their mid 20s to be over with. Darius Beane could have a doctorate by now ffs.

I think we’ve upgraded over Filewich and he benefits from playing at a lower conference level.  Dalton Banks wouldn’t be guaranteed minutes and so far it looks like the right move to let him go.  He played 39 minutes the other night so he’s going to get more minutes and a starting job with the Turds.

Wonders I think SIU bungled bad.  He should have been getting consistent minutes last year.  I’d rather have 3 years of Wonders over 1 year of Brown when they’re a similar type player.  Or even both.

Stulic so far looks like an upgrade for Wonders.  We will see.

@salukiworld Brown is a defensive specialist that is rumored to be a good shooter, Wonders was an adequate defender and could shoot.  Not the same type of player at all.

I didn't think it's a big deal as long as it stays on this thread. Those who don't want to see it just won't click on the thread then

Domask looks like the best player on the court and that has me feeling pretty damn bitter.

Domask had 18 pts and 6 rbs in 34 minutes against Marquette. Underwood wants him to score more - he did. Shannon led Illinois with 21. Marquette beats Illinois for the 4th time in a row.

A lot of Illinois players took just really ill-advised shots. I think they are a bit of a selfish team except for Domask.

At one point, the announcer said something like "we're on a Saluki tour. Yesterday Lance Jones and today Marcus Domask." Also mentioned how many great coaches have come though SIU - Lowery, Painter, etc. Failed to mention Barbecue Barry for some reason.

Lance Jones had 8 pts, 5 assists, and 2 steals in 30 minutes of Purdue's win over Xavier.

Not a Saluki but the MVC's leading scorer last year, Ben Krikke of Valpo, is starting at center for Iowa against Creighton, on TV currently. Fun game with a lot of run and gun. Krikke has 14 pts in 1st half.

@saluki44 Was in CU last night and MD maybe the best Illini player and not sure even about that. MD had a typical high quality game for certain. IMHO Tyler Kolek was the best player on the floor.

Don't be bitter though, not worth it bro.

March on triumphantly!

Domask’s percentage of possessions is down to 18.9% from 27.8% last year.

Lance Jones is down to 21.8% down from 28.2% last year.

A lot of people have been crediting more ball movement this year without both of them.  To me, that’s more coaching than on Domask/Jones.  Both players were willing to move on this offseason for a smaller role to win in their last year.
