SIU wasted no time getting a jump on new season tickets. You can put down a $50 deposit today to secure a seat. Good to see them thinking ahead!
I don’t remember seeing this in place before. If new, they must be expecting a substantial bump in season ticket requests.
8. Not seeing many people misspell Bryan as Brian so far. Good job, people ... keep it up.
Super excited to have Brian Mullen back--hoping he will bring in Randall Faulkner to coach up the bigs!
(Inflammatory political snark)
Welcome home Coach Mullins. Prepare yourself for a long standing ovation.

Randall - great, great grandson of William! Brian, nephew of Chris. You could be an announcer with your chops! LOL
Longtime reader, first time poster on this board. Very excited to have Bryan Mullins back home. Home run hire by Kill. The new staff will have their hands full the first few years, but looking for our return to glory very soon. When does next season tip off?

Welcome. Thanks for joining
games wont be packed next year, but I would expect somewhere north of 3800 considering we were at 3300 this year; mainly the excitement of BM will be offset by how bad the team could be.
Average paid attendance this year was 4,470, not 3,300. I would expect 5,000 with the people who start buying tickets again.
cool, dont know where i saw 3298 at. Yea, i would expect 5k then as the target.
My prediction is that this goes down as one of SIU's all-time greatest hires, though I do think it's unfair to expect miracles right away. He's a first-time head coach and there will be a learning curve (although with his brains and background, it should be a short one). And it will take him some time to "de-Barry-ize" the program. If next year's best-case-scenario roster returns, I'm optimistic he'll coach them up into a respectable team that plays hard and smart and improves steadily throughout the season. That would be a good start.
That said, there's so much to look forward to: the excitement and buzz already returning to the program; a recruiting philosophy that's certain to be a radical departure from "let's throw guys against the wall and see how many stick"; sensible scheduling; and a coach who represents the school in a first-class manner on and off the court.
SIU got this one right.

It wouldn't surprise me to see sales staff there tomorrow hounding people for season tix.
5 pm, right? I'll be there just to see the carnival-like atmosphere.... It better not run too late - I don't want to miss The Orville. 😜

Is it just me, or was anyone else struck by this choice of words "try to get back to the NCAA Tournament"? Considering where this program has been, it seems like a rather low bar.

The long nightmare is finally over. Welcome fellow Saluki! Someone already said that Mullins will "coach them up" into a respectable team. Yes, getting the max out of the material you have to work with. These young men that choose to wear the Saluki uniform deserve that. It is a new day. No more drama.
