Would you kick the tires on...Rick Pitino?

https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/candid-coaches-after-being-fired-from-louisville-will-rick-pitino-ever-coach-college-basketball-again/

I think I would. On second thought--I know I would.

It doesn't hurt to ask.

...and you know what 'they' say--the safest time to dine at a restaurant is the month after the Health Department found some violations and ordered that corrective action be taken.

Whattaya think? Would Saluki MBB fans and donors...welcome a chastened Rick Pitino?

Says here they would.

(1) US COVID-19 statistics (February 29, 2020-June 16, 2020): 2,124,000 reported cases and 115,052 deaths
(2) Donald Trump (June 15, 2020) told a group of senior citizens that there would be very few cases of COVID-19 if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing: "If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually."
(3) Donald Trump [(Jan 20, 2020), when asked if he's worried about a pandemic]: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.”

There are rumors that UNLV has already offered him a 2.5 million dollar contract after this season.   If that is anywhere close to accurate, we don't have the budget to compete.

Good God, can you imagine the hookers and porn stars Pitino could supply recruits at UNLV?  Holy holes, Batman!!

Pitino should be out for good.  He knew exactly what was going on.  The biggest and best coaches are all control freaks, they all have spies, they all know what's going on in their programs.

I hope Bill Self bites it next.

And there it is.

I wonder if he de commits if B Mull leaves

Rambler fans are trying to downplay their fears of this, too.

"I just hope after Bryan Mullins is hired at the end of this season as SIU's new head coach that none of our Illinois Wolves recruits decommits to follow Bryan to Carbondale." swellafelon

Those same fans think Mullins should be named coach-in-waiting at Loyola for when the NCAA catches up with Self and Moser is named head coach at Kansas.  They think Moser might bolt to UCLA prior to that though.  🤣

One last Rambler rambling...

They plead with Mullins to stick around because he has a much better chance at landing a high-major job if he is the head coach at Loyola and not at SIU.

SIU coaches moving to high-major jobs:  Harry Gallatin (NBA), Jack Hartman (Kansas State), Paul Lambert (Auburn), Bruce Webber (Illinois, Kansas State) and Matt Painter (Purdue).

Loyola coaches moving to high-major jobs:  ...........

Took a 30 win season to get the guy to 500. I don't think he would have survived much longer there tho no one there knew they had a basketball team 12 months ago. Don't think there will be any NCAA or NIT this year for him.

Craving a McBride Special!
