Barkeep has earned our trust with these things. It could all fall apart of course, but if he says it's still Mullins, I believe him.
It is still Mullins. Legal stuff on contracts take time. Lawyers charge by the hour you know.
I LOVED everything about Mullins on and off the court. I'm also VERY glad "the ship didn't sail" as some of us were concerned about. At the same time, I'm not sure why some of the other candidates are being so frowned upon. Mullins would bring back Floor U - and I want that dearly but I also want someone who can not only keep the RELATIVELY impressive recruits that are coming, along with the existing players, to stay but also be able to recruit future players. In all honesty, I'm not sure which candidate that is. If the "insiders" are confident Mullins can do that, than I'm as excited about Saluki Basketball as I have been in MANY years. I did see where Troy Hudson, former Saluki and NBA player, was saying it was a great place to play and he felt he could talk recruits into going there.....although I'm not sure in what capacity he would do that from. Either way, I'm anxious and cannot wait to hear the good news. We have all been hoping and praying for some excitement in this program and the time is now as the Salukis could finish at or near the top of the conference as soon as next season with the right moves. GO SIU !!!!

Mullins is the guy but I have no problem with some of the other names mentioned. If the Mullins thing were to fall apart, my 2nd choice would be one of the Power 5 assistants mentioned (Luke Yaklich from Michigan, Dane Fife from Michigan State, etc), and then 3rd choice would be the other Salukis (Kent Williams, Brad Korn, etc)
