Sucks that Bradley is probably in the driver's seat for back to back tournament appearances, guess it's better than the Turds.
Bears up 21 now just over 4 to go. They're playing with a vengeance and may be fulfilling their pre-season destiny.
Edit: I think they can take Bradley.

Bears and Drake in the final; calling it now!

Seriously, MSU is finally playing like the team they were thought to be pre-season. If they win out they are going to be a massive headache for better teams in the NCAA tourney. I can't wait!

My guess is Mo State beats Bradley for the Championship!
18 - 16 team in the NCAA! Their record would give them a bad seed I think!
Joe Lunardi still has UNI in the NCAA - last team in - of course probably be some conference tournament surprises. I'd be shocked if they got in after the COY (Clown of the Year) did such a fine coaching job today! 😀
They looked just plain shi**y! The committee will see that.

No doubt anything higher than 13 at this point, regardless who wins it.

Big spread (lots of pics) of SIU/BRADLEY in Post-Dispatch this morning.
This tournament has been such a train wreck for the MVC

It's not been good. UNI flaming out against Drake hurts. Had they beat them handily and lost a close one to Bradley, they might've still had an outside shot.
Oddly though, even though they'll be seeded poorly, I think either MSU or Bradley gives the MVC their best shot to do some actual damage in the Dance. Both teams are long and athletic and are capable of matching up with the big boys better than anyone else the Valley could offer this year.

The depth in the league was great all year but yeah.
Tournament like this is actually a good sign for the future of the Valley. Sure it's not a sexy look, but in my opinion its the right step forward of bring the Valley back to where it was in the mid-2000s.
Doug Elgin and every coach in the league need to do everything they can to keep their players. It will be HUGE if none of the top tier players transfer out (grad transfer excluded.) Also use this as a building tool to encourage league expansion to 12 within the next 3-4 years.

The Valley is probably really happy Bradley made the Final. The crowds on TV for these semifinals look like a Thursday Night crowd. Pretty bad optics.
Yeah you have to imagine a MSU and Bradley final would draw well. And to @front-row ‘s point, the Valley seems to be steadily improving as a whole with several teams having potential to become great programs (SIU, MSU, Loyola, BU, UNI) with a few trailing right behind them (Drake, InSU, Valpo)
There is some serious talent returning to the MVC next year (barring mass transfers), most of it from the current year's freshman and sophomores.
We're looking good, but so are several other teams. It will be a struggle, but I like it. Could be a multibid league next year--the year after, definitely.

Ugh. Could it PLEASE not be Valpo? I have every confidence that Bradley would take care of them, but I really don't want it to be on the table. Anyway, MoSt returning to form--ugh.
