Big series coming up against Kentucky this weekend. If SIU is looking for an opportunity to redeem several bad losses, this is the series to win. Let's Go Dawgs!
Salukis lose the opener at home in extras to Kentucky
Pitching reaching a new low as they have given up 21 runs to Kentucky so far by the end of the fifth includes allowing 14 in the fifth
I know sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windshield but this kind of bad pitching seems to be a pattern
We’re never going to play a decent schedule again after this
For The Valley's sake, I hope SIU was WAY overrated going into the season. Not sure we should be a middle of the pack team in The Valley at this point. Ouch!

Oh I think we were way overrated. Got to have really good pitching and losing Noah Farmer really hurt. Losing JT Weber, excellent hitter, also hurt. Kentucky is SEC and that's easily the best baseball league in the NCAA. Obvious talent gap.
Just need to forget it and get back to winning.
I hate to say it so early in the season, but I really think we are going to struggle this year. Offense has taken a step back (Especially Rog with JT not hitting behind him anymore). Pitching is somehow worse than last year. I think we are lucky to finish middle of the pack if they don't figure something out soon. Rhodes has gambled since he got here on building through JUCO/transfers and that has worked so far, but leads to little continuity year to year. He's got his work cut out for him this year.
Should be cold as a witch's fingernail (u thought I was going to say something dirty)
Bet the tailgaters on the hill will be there! I might hook up the dogsled and head over to catch a few innings. Won't be riding the Concord Freedom Deluxe.
Heading to Mississippi

Bad start today for the Salukis. Down 4-0 after 2 at Southern Indiana.
This is the most frustrating team I can remember. They have the offense to put themselves back into games like they did today but every time they make a comeback, they give up multiple runs the next inning (like today)
Salukis score 8 in the 9th and take a 16-9 lead over USI. Gonna be tough to blow that.
Pitching staff getting blasted again after a decent day yesterday. Offense didn’t show up yesterday and they lost 2-1…down 11-9 in the 6th. The two JUCO pitchers who were supposed to fill out our starting rotation have been miserable.
