What position did Burton play....and did he play much this past season? I don't recall him being a major contributor. Wondering if he transferred due to playing time, recruited over, or just wanted to get closer to home.

Hey, I thought the kid transferred a year ago. I remember he showed a lot of potential, and then I thought it was discussed that he was transferring after the '18 season. I don't remember him playing this year. I'm not stating absolute fact. Simply what I remember.

He played wide receiver...we seem to be pretty well set their but he was lightning quick.

As for when...this was the tweet I was referencing and it showed Dec 2019. It certainly could have been about playing time.
Big pick-up for the #Salukis with the addition of Monroe College (N.Y.) transfer DT Devin Love (6-3, 290). Had 38 tackles, 7.0 TFL, 3.5 sacks as a freshman last year and was 1st Team Northeast Football Conference.

Committed to SIU. Did not sign in the early signing period. I think he committed after the signing period. Hopefully, he will sign in February.

I was told the kid didn't qualify to get in to SIU. That's the reason he didn't sign on the original signing day. He was working on getting that fixed, but wasn't able to. I'm getting this info second hand from a friend in C'dale who was told by someone affiliated with the school. Too bad. It looks like the kid can play at this level.
