I don’t think East went from being a decent player at Bradley to John A. Logan and being the #1 JUCO player to go back to the Missouri Valley even if he was a Mullins guy
I do know Bryan has been at John A watching a couple of their games. Not sure who exactly he’s there to see but at least showing some interest.
Besides East there's #32 Cobie Barnes (formerly at Indiana State) and #45 Tujautae Williams (formerly of Tennessee Tech) at John A. Logan
Here's video of Cade Hornecker with a block and a basket and a foul on the other end:

Cade doesn't look as rail thin in this clip as I thought he was. As they say.... you can teach size.
Once upon a time in my younger years I followed high school recruiting closely. I followed the Syracuse program because my mother was a Syracuse grad and that was one of the ways I stayed in touch with her. She's been gone since 2002 and my interest in recruiting has since wained.
However, it's very apparent we need a point guard who can come in and play right away. Jones is as mercurial as the day is long, but you really don't want him to be your primary ball handler.
I don't care who we get and if the kid comes from the JC ranks or the transfer portal that's fine with me.
Hornecker and his team won their playoff game Tuesday:
Senior Cade Hornecker, while only scoring 4 points, was a problem defensively for the Pirates with his seven-foot frame blocking and changing shots.
@salukiworld how does a 7 footer with a college scholarship in hand only score 4 points???? It seems he should be getting 6-10 PPG on rebounds and put backs. I'm not expecting very much of him next year. I hope I am pleasantly surprised.

Didn’t someone on here say he only averages about 8 points per game?
If that average is true, I’m kind of blown away. He must be a real project or in the toughest high school league/schedule in the country.
Hopefully he will get better, but I smell a redshirt coming.

It’s been hard to find information this year on him because his games don’t seem to be reported on much and when they are, they’re usually behind a paywall. I don’t think he scores much though and takes a bit of a backseat to their Villanova commit. They also have a UT Arlington commit.
@salukiworld Based on various descriptions of this kid, he seems more like a Brad Korn type big man rather than an inside banger.
8 PPG was his last year scoring average. He’s scoring more this year. And he will be more of an inside player than Brad Korn, who was a rail thin 6’ 9”. But yeah, that 4 point playoff game concerns me as well. Geez, how do you only score 4 points in an important game when you’re a 6’ 11” D1 bound athlete playing against high school kids??
A 7-footer averaging double-doubles on a team with two other D1 recruits would probably be headed to Gonzaga or some similar place, and we wouldn't even be talking about him.
I'm sure he needs some work; if he didn't, he wouldn't be coming here. When you're a mid-major that hasn't been relevant for 15 years, your big man recruits are going to be sleepers or projects.
Also, maybe he was just having a particularly crappy night. It happens even to kids who aren't sleepers or projects.
(Inflammatory political snark)
Hornecker's team also won by nearly 40, wouldn't worry about 1 game. It's just one of the few results I've actually seen this year. Was so much easier following Foster Wonders last year.
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, but does anyone know the status of Ben Harvey? Asking mainly because of his health issues.
Assuming that a decision will come after this season. Just curious about the situation and hope he's recovering.
March on triumphantly!
