I always thought the same thing about FW, that he doesn't look happy. However maybe it's not that he's unhappy but that's just how he is. I know people who's outward energy level is VERY subdued.
He often likes or shares posts about the team on his social media channels. Even looking back on some of his HS videos, he's a pretty stoic guy.

My problem is that Wonders never got much of a chance on the court.
No disrespect intended, but it was probably deflating and infuriating to him that he couldn’t even touch the floor for the most part, and the men on the floor haven’t been able to hit the broad side of a barn ALL SEASON LONG.
And as far as Wonders body language and him being stoic, has anyone ever met Bryan Mullins or seen him in any interview? Bryan Mullins is the definition of stoic.
I am sure our Saluki homers will blast me for saying this. And that’s fine.
If Wonders isn’t good enough to play at this low level of D-I that SIU is at right now, then I will rescind all of this.
Would have been nice to at least see him fail repeatedly on the court like some others have been afforded the opportunity to do.
Supporter of the Fab 4: Scottie Ebube, Foster Wonders, AJ Ferguson & Cade Hornecker.
They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.
I'm all for keeping a strong defense, but it sure would be fun to see 3 athletic and explosive bigs on the court.Side note; I hope Rupert, Cade and Ebube are ready because the young fellas will have the keys to the paint next year.
If they develop to their potential, they'll be the best post trio in the Valley and could eventually be one of the better front-courts in the nation. Yes, I said it. Between the 3 of them they have all the facets covered; size, quickness, athleticism, defense, rebounding, shot blocking and range out to the 3pt line.
I'm really excited for what these kids can do together.
Agreed, I didn't think he (FW) was given much of a chance this year. I think most would agree you need more than 1.5 minutes here and 2 minutes there, to try to get into the rhythm of a game. You and others mentioned that his stone face on the bench may just be part of his personality/persona, I hope you're right. I would like to see him return. Work hard on his defense in the off season and come back and have a career as a Saluki. We should know where he is in his thinking in another 3-4 weeks.
Looks like Vashon (Davis) won their first game in their journey to a State Championship last night. I couldn't find any stats, but their next game looks to be tomorrow.
Vashon beat Soldan 79-42. Kennard Davis with 20 pts: 3-2pt, 4-3pt, 2/4 FT

Illinois Wolves guy that Mullins got to Loyola. These are the guys SIU would need to land if they lose Domask and want to compete next year.

We had better at least try. Would be great addition
