MVC going after him hard...don't like the idea of teams cannibalizing each other, especially when it's not something related to a coaching change. It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out.

With a player that has talent and 3 remaining years of eligibility, I can understand. Didn't shoot well from 3pt range or the line, but seemed to REALLY turn his game up after Feb Belmont game and finished the season strong.
Congrats to Kennard Davis Jr. and Vashon, they're heading to the Final Four in Springfield. Davis had 16 points in their 77-45 win.
Vashon will play at 2:00 PM on Thursday in Springfield.
While I'm elated to have this young man wearing the maroon and white next year, it has been somewhat frustrating/puzzling that there is not more information on him. He is playing in one of his biggest high school games. Do you know if this game will be televised, or streamed? Would love to watch if possible. Thank you
SIU had offered previously and Coach still follows on Twitter. IDK if we’re involved in recruiting again.
UIC's Jalen Jackson will be committing tomorrow:

@salukiworld New Saluki???? Also, if he is signed, who is leaving?
We have one slot open with Muila and Newton gone as of right now
Even if Marcus, Lance and Trent all stay (highly unlikely) and no one else leaves (also probably unlikely) we still have 1 open scholarship with the departures of Newton and Muila.@salukiworld New Saluki???? Also, if he is signed, who is leaving?
He got better toward the end of the season and was arguably one of their two best players the last 1/4 of the season as a true freshman! He played close to 40 minutes a game for them the last 7 or 8 games. I think he would be a good get with a very big upside. My only apprehension is he is relatively small at 6'2", although not skinny, we need taller, longer guards. Also, he doesn't shoot the 3 particularly well. I can't remember that well, but seems like he played decent defense.UIC's Jalen Jackson will be committing tomorrow:

I would rather get UIC's Jace Carter 6'5 SG averaged 16.6 ppg. We need scorers!

We do need scorers. I'm afraid Carter is headed to a much bigger school though.
I certainly would take Carter over Jackson in a heartbeat. However, in regards to scoring, Jackson was a huge scorer in high school. In fact, he was either #1 or #2 leading scorer in the entire state of Indiana his senior year. He had some pretty big scoring games down the stretch for UIC as a true freshmen. He scored nearly the same as a freshman this year as Carter did as a freshman last year. He is athletic and can go get his own shot. Like I said, my only concerns are his height, 6'2" and 3 point shooting touch. I too think Carter is going to be plucked by a big program. I'm thinking someone like University of Florida if he wants to go back home.He got better toward the end of the season and was arguably one of their two best players the last 1/4 of the season as a true freshman!
