Noticed on verbalcommits.com that a new name has been listed as a 2018 recruit - PF Sekou Dembele (6'8" 230). Was wondering if the Dawgs were still recruiting for this year, or if the year is incorrect and should read 2019.
I think it's 2018--perhaps one of the Beanes will not be eligible for 2018-19?? just a guess

He is the starting center for the Mali 18/19 year old team according to an international website--49.1% FG but only 47.4% FT. Attended Central Park Christian School--averaged 1.4 steals a game--that's pretty good for a 230 pounder
8.7 ppg/6.4 rpg/ 1.4 assists/ .4 block per game last year
It looks like he is playing 17U for Gateway Basketball Club (assuming it is the same guy). They list a grad year of 2018. Apparently, he attends St. Louis Christian. Looks like a strong kid.

The other possiblity is that Hinson knows that Bol is done.
Or maybe both our theories are correct--I think there is some chance Bol may recover, but, given what happened last year after his November operation, you may be right.

Yes Darius has been for a while, but I have a feeling both may still need some work--Darius and Jimmy both were not at the "Elite camp week ago last Saturday though Amadou Fall and Same Shafer were--plus both Amadou and Sam are also listed on SIU People Finder. Darius is listed as registered, and Jimmy is, as you say, not listed.
I think we'll know by mid-July. The idea that they have offered 2018 Dembele, however, does mean something.

I saw on their club twitter feed that he had a 20 point/20 rebound night at the end of May. I think this could be a good pickup if we can land him.

Sekou definitely reminds me of Bola Olaniyan--not big leaper but is strong and has a nose for the ball
