OK. I keep forgetting about NET.
I just hope when they go to 12 teams they go to a two division/16 game conference schedule. North(Loyola, Valparaiso, Bradley, Northern Iowa, Illinois State, Bradley) and South(SIU, Indiana State, Evansville, Missouri State, Belmont, Murray State). Play the 5 teams in your division twice and the teams in the other in alternating h/h series.
Probably won't be that. Mid Majors have a hard enough time scheduling non con games. Could be that format but my guess is they will play round robin in the division and then six teams(if there are 12 ) once in the other and two teams twice. That would make for an 18 game unbalanced schedule. Not ideal but better than a 16 game conference schedule. Some conferences use RPI or Net to determine who the two teams you play twice are in the other division. Will be interesting. One more thing. I think determining the divisions might be difficult. Hard to see ISU and Bradley in a division and SIU only playing them once a year. But the divisions you named make the most sense geographically. Also not convinced Murray is gonna be the 12th member.
I'd still expect a 20 game conference schedule. They do 18 now, and almost every team is stuck scheduling D2, D3, NAIA schools to fill a schedule. 20 is what most conferences do now, which is why it's tough to fill with only 16/18 games.
Because even if they move to a 20 game schedule they will still schedule those D2, D3, and NAIA teams. Those are not the games that will be removed from the schedule as there is no reason to schedule them now but they still do("we can't get games!" is an excuse and we all know it is. They say they can't find games but then every mid major has lower division schools on their schedule when they could be playing eachother but refuse to do so).
The MVC moving to a 20 game conference schedule basically guarantees it is a one bid conference.

Our brain logic just doesn't work the same I suppose. I'll bet my life savings that we don't go to a 16 game schedule though. Literally makes no sense.

Looks like the CUSA is looking to add UConn (for football), Mario Moccia's New Mexico State, and Liberty
Money talks, and FBS offers it even if that equates to downgrading your basketball conference.
I mean if SIU is going to keep American football they should probably think about moving to FBS.
You are going to lose money either way but at least people care about it at the FBS level.
More people watch bowl games between random non-BCS teams than the FCS national championship.

no they don’t and if you hate FCS football so bad why do you continue to post about it?
if you hate it move on

Don't see how SIU is appealing to an FBS conference unless they go on a North Dakota State run the next decade. Declining enrollment over the past decade and small media market. The donor money is better used elsewhere.
Thats fair. I am of the opinion they should have just dropped the sport entirely.

Wow! Where have we heard that before?? Oh yeh - from you -- many times. We know you hate FCS football, specifically SIU's brand. You and Morris should form a hater's club. Go watch sucka s s Illinois football if you want to see a waste of tax dollars!
