Basically just means they’re a hand-picked walk-on instead of having to try out.

Evan Taylor was the only one of our three recruits that held an offer from Loyola. The lead SIU recruiter for Taylor appeared to be Coach Walker. Taylor may be waiting to see where Coach Walker lands.
A lot of times kids would have re opened their recruitment by now as it is getting rather late in the recruiting period. I think all 3 will end up still coming, but who knows.

Compared to what we've brought in here in recent years, I'm fairly impressed with the potential of all three incoming freshman. Talent bar seems to have been raised a bit.

Devan Cambridge - 6'5" SG from Hillcrest Prep in Arizona
The open recruiting period ends Sunday night.
Campus visits can occur April 1-3, and then there is a dead period from April 4 through 10. Open recruiting starts again at noon on April 11. Another dark period begins April 15th and the signing period opens April 17th.
