Good news!!! Hopefully having a two year player will add some consistency to our front court for next years team too!
Mainly a rebounder but that's OK. Needs to work on free throws.

Just having a presence down there is a godsend.
Well done, coaching staff!

Does his redshirt year in Football exclude him from participating with the basketball team for this year?
Is Taggart still panning on playing basketball here?
His football bio still says he will also play basketball at SIU. He was a high scorer in high school. His height when recruited was 6'5", but his bio lists him at 6'3" and 242 pounds.

don't think anyone ever reported on it but it is doubtful.
Craving a McBride Special!
For what it's worth...Taggart's Twitter bio says "Tight End at The University Of Southern Illinois"
I would say no basketball in his future.

Looks like Avery Taggart will be transferring from SIU Football to pursue a basketball scholarship...
