Not right now, maybe late winter/spring with a shortened season but who knows?

I can't confirm, but I would think you have to be ready for anything. Has D'Amico's point guard committed yet? Can't think of his name, but I think we'd take him if we can find an open scholly.

Anthony Sayles 6'1. #1 ranked PG (Prephoops) in Illinois for 2021. We offered him awhile back.

That would be hugely disappointing. 2 players from IL that would essentially be a year behind in development as they have not played a meaningful game in, what would be, over 18 months by the time they get to SIU. Again, this is all based on if they don't play a game this season, which since it's Illinois, is very possible. Should start recruiting Indiana !!! : ) HALF KIDDING !!!!!!!
I am ure these young men are still active on the aau circuit just like players in this area are and being in aau tournaments i believe that will be better competition than playing at the high school level where the competition on a weekly competition might no be as challenging

Saw this the other day and think it might be E and not us. No coaches follow him. Ben Harvey is the only one with SIU ties that follows him.
Looks like Iron Mountain (Foster Wonders) will begin practicing next Saturday and their first game will be Jan 22nd. Super excited to see this young man play and grow his game. Here's hoping he can win the Michigan Mr. Basketball, if so deserved.

I would guess that they're playing AAU weekend tournaments in other states right now.
I wouldn't think so. If they're not allowed to play High School, I doubt they can play AAU. I also would think we would hear about it if they were playing. I do NOT know this mind you.
The only reason they aren't playing high school basketball is because of in-state rules. There is no reason these kids can't play for an Indiana AAU team or even an Illinois AAU team that only plays out of state. They don't have to worry about getting state funding cuts for playing like a high school would.
@insaluki not sure which states are allowing AAU hoops right now, but some are. Read an article a couple weeks ago from a kid in Metro East that is playing AAU on the weekend in Missouri.
This is good info. Does anyone know if D'Amico and the other IL recruit are playing any AAU basketball right now?
