Think it’s a small shot but there’s a shot Beane Sr. doesn’t get a job or doesn’t get a job that would make Darius follow him and he could stay. I like Beane Jr. and thought he was one of the best players on the court in the Arch Madness game and might turn into a great player but he’s not a Michael Porter Jr. where schools similar in size to SIU are gonna throw everything to hire his dad to get him.
Like I said previously though, Beane Jr. has earned the right to do what makes him feel most comfortable. I hope he stays but if not, I wish him well.
I would hope he stays. But. Do we invest in a guy who will transfer as soon as dad gets work? Do we invest in a kid who may be understandably bitter that pops wasn't renewed? Maybe it's worth the year we get given the big pot of crap Hucky left behind. Probably a moot point. I doubt he has any intention of staying. Take our lumps now and trust GI Joe's recruiting.

Really hope we keep Darius and Lance Jones of Evanston. Two talented players. Watched Lance in the state tournament (Evanston lost to Belleville West in the championship game.) He's going to be a terrific guard for the Salukis - one of the more impressive players I saw in the state tournament.

Wonder if Sekou Dembele follows him if true. Never really thought those two were great fits for what Mullins seems to be recruiting.
